Swann, the supplier of security and surveillance equipment have cameras which when connected via wi fi will provide you with a link to your home via a mobile device.

As with most technology these days you will need a good internet service.

I was reading the other day that more and more affordable satellite services are becoming available in Australia.
Services offered by our current telcos will only work in populated and selected areas.

This was the company I was looking at.bla bla bla no affiliation etc etc.
