How much fuel is in the tank. This will indicate the dilution level. Diesel filter may not necessarily pick water a water based substance.
You need a filer called 'Water Trap'.

I would drain it if you haven 't got a water trap, if you have driven it since it is too late.

Whilst I agree that the comment appears to be a mean assumption, Mike's previous posts, and his general attitude, along with the fact he is a retired Police Officer, make me think that perhaps we have misunderstood his thoughts?

As far as I can determine there has been no previous suggestion from anyone that the OP should "sell the vehicle and let them suffer the consequences", and I don't quite know how that suggestion surfaced.

Mike might like to elaborate? Cheers

Step 1 Do not start your engine Starting the engine will begin the process of circulating the fluid through the entire fuel system. As AdBlue is not compatible with any engine materials it can very quickly corrode all components and pipework within the engine. If this happens the entire fuel system will need to be replaced. Step 2 Drain the fuel tank You must contact a professional to drain the tank immediately and dispose of all contaminated fluid. They will use a siphon system to suck all of the fuel out of the tank. Once the tank is empty it must be cleaned with warm water before you refuel with diesel.

the problem should have been resolved by now an the OP has not come back an said how it was resolved?

i had a similar experience of putting wrong fuel in a BT50 and the recommended fix was to remove all contaminated fuel from tank before starting.
the problem was a lot of these modern tanks have no drain plug so it required the fuel tank to be removed to empty tank.

depending on were you are ? there are services can remove fuel from tank without removing tank, or you can disconnect fuel line, pressurize tank and blow fuel out of disconnected fuel line

I pulled up to the bowser very early one morning and waited for the bowser to start and eventually went in to ask why it hadn't started and the attendant pointed out that I was attempting to fill the tank with AddBlue.
I just needed to move forward about five meters to the next bowser.

The only issue is how well will she respond, 98 & she goes longer. No complaints from me!

are you going to let people know how you resolved/fixed the issue you never know when someone could have the same problem?
