UHF Aerial Placement Dmax

I have seen this configuration on several Nissan Patrols and the cable enters vehicle in gap between door and body. www.kaon.com.au/brackets-mounts/aerial

Yep. The bracket on the right is very similar to what I am looking at for the Dmax. It does say drilling of holes is necessary.

Anyone looking at using this bracket on you Dmax .... don't! There are modifications to be made to your mirror to allow the bracket to fit and function correctly. Also, you will need to remove the entire internal panel of the passenger door. The bonnet mount that uses the existing bolts of the hood hinge is the go!

Not difficult.

While at it add acoustic insulation to have a far higher quality of ride!

Replace with acoustic trim panel clips while at it.

Way too much mucking around for a simple bracket to put your uhf aerial onto. Bonnet hinge perfect and done in literally 5 mins.

Bonnet hinge is where most antennas are fitted these days by using suitable bracket. I made my own bracket for the Jeep.

I'm sorry, but how is telling me "not difficult" and putting up photos of what you have done without any instructions helpful? What about modifications to the mirror? Did you have a solution to this problem? I asked about a uhf bracket not sound proofing the door!
