Melbourne Cup Luncheon Tuesday 7th November.2023

We will be holding our Annual Melbourne Cup Luncheon with 3 other couples joining us.

We are all of Vintage Crop. ( No not the old nag. of previous years)

All 8 of us are members of the O.B.E Club ( Over Bloody Eighties) with a combined cumulative years in excess of 650 years. that equates going way back to the 1570 era.

We all have no idea who is running in the cup. But we will enjoy a glass or two or more of that Red Wine.

Might be an omen to find a Cup winner in all the above information.

Go the RED.

have a wonderful afternoon with your geriatric tribe. I wish I was there with you all.

there are several horses that may be omen bets for you, including

Without a Fight (you all get on together)

Absurde (dating back to 1570, I doubt it)

First Immortal  (he or she may just be among your group)

More Felons (just saying)

have great day

cheers n beers

On 25th February I backed Lunar Flare pre post at $41, currently $15.
Currently 6th in early betting.
Gold Trip looks a good thing.
A late indigenous mate of mine always used to say "brother, always back the ones with Gold in their name, they always win".
So good unders Lunar Flare and a tidy result if it salutes.
Have always reckoned it is a "cup horse" and it could run a place.
I will stick my neck out - 1. Gold Trip 2. Without a Fight 3. Lunar Flare, roughie Okita Soushi if it gets a start.
So that is my trifecta and first four on Tuesday the 7th.

Also for roughies. Experience says back a lady jockey and Jamie Kah Can Ride !!!! Anything she is on cannot be written off.

Have a good one at lunch guys !!!!

Lunar Flare gets the testing material tonight at Moonee Valley.
Currently $4 favourite.
Will be watching this run with interest.
Won this race last two years ago and runner up last year.
Tonights effort might be a pointer to fitness and Melb Cup chances?
