Isuzu Ute Australia is recalling 8039 examples of the D-Max ute as the fuel hose may chafe against the engine oil level bracket and become damaged, potentially causing a fuel leak which may result in a vehicle fire.

This recall affects Isuzu D-Max models produced from 2021 to 2023.

Due to a manufacturing issue, the fuel hose may chafe against the engine oil level bracket and become damaged, said the company in its recall notice.

If this occurs, fuel may leak in the presence of an external ignition source resulting in a vehicle fire.
