Not sure if you want details of 'free camps' or caravan parks.
Racecourse beach caravan park is at Bawley Point just south of Ulladulla. It is east of the Princes Highway so nothing is visible from that highway. But there is a shopping center and several other shops, as well as a small village.
Our daughter and family used to go there every holidays up until five years ago and while I never stayed there myself I would drop in to see them during their stay. Even back then the caravan park was getting a lot of upgrades so should be well appointed by now.
One thing I remember was that bore water was used that had a brown colour. Whether that has been fixed or not someone who has been there recently could advise.
It is a pleasant location, with a short walk to the beach. There is a small creek running through it that could amuse the kids with blow up floats. Another attraction for the kids is that the kiosk sells bird seed to attract the birds for a feed. Of course, they have a large swimming pool.
I have stayed at the Ulladulla Headland Tourist Park about ten years ago. Overlooking the bay and harbour it was a great place to sit on the cliff edge and enjoy the view. Just to the right of the entrance there is a staircase going down to the beach where you can walk to the harbour and admire the boats, then walk a few metres further to a (then) fish and chip shop. I counted the steps on the stairs - one hundred and twelve. That is enough to get you fit.
It is a fairly easy walk up to the shopping center with even an Aldi store there. One of the first shops I went to was the local Vinnies for a pair of shorts as the weather was warmer than I expected.
The Services Club at the southern side of the town served great meals, although the distance meant that you had to drive and thus be careful as to how much you had to drink.
