After having a new airconditioner installed in Adelaide, because of the limited time frame before heading back to Qld the old AC is still in place, when we finally get the unit removed, the opening is 400x400, the easiest reparation is to install another roof top vent, new vent has been ordered and will be delivered by the time we arrive in Brisbane.
On the return journey we left our caravan at the Peak Hill CP for 9 days while we visited our 2 sons in Sydney.
While here I have fitted a kings 2 draw unit.

With weight changes in Adelaide I made an adjustment to the WDH, I increased the chains tension by half a link.
We pickup the van tomorrow, with approximately 70 + kg added to the tub it would position that weight above and behind the rear axle, so rather than permanently mount it there for the rest of the trip, I have mounted it over and in front of the rear axle to help throw a bit of weight forward, a number of items were stored in the caravan that are normally carried in the tub, the heavier items will be packed on the new draws.

Before leaving Peak Hill I will find a reasonable leave place to get the setup right without a weighbridge available.
The process is :- With the ute and caravan unconnected and level, measure the ball coupling  height, measure and adjust the towball height to match the coupling height plus 5/8th of an inch.

Measure the suspension heights F & R of the Ute, measure the caravan in 2 places at F &R.
Connect the van and ute, remeasure the points, as I am required to use a WDH I will engage the distribution bars to get the front suspension of the ute as close as possible back to the origional height.

Check measure the caravan is as close to level as possible if it is too high or low this can be adjusted bu changing the angle of hitch head.

I will need to repeat the whole process again after the 45kg of the AC is removed, and then it will be time to visit a weighbridge to confirm actual weights. In the meantime I know my weights, and the ute has plenty of wriggle room with axle, GVM and GCM well under max.
