Noise with on Radio

Hi All,

Question for the electronic gurus. Have had a Black Rhino 12V fridge that I bought 3 years ago at Aldi when it was last one in store and with a +50% discount. Recently I decided that I wanted to replace my ever reliable Engel (54 years old and still going) with a Fridge that has a freezer compartment for some trips that I do. What I have noticed is that when the fridge cycles on, my AM radio gets a horrible noise going on. (Yes a car with AM and no DAB). I know that a ferrite core can be used to suppress the noise. Question: on the earth or power cable, or do I need 2 and put one on each cable.

Thanks
