Along time ago…. In a galaxy, far far away!

Hi Nomads, this is my first post on the forum so apologies if I post incorrectly etc. still learning the ways. My Plan: to go full time nomad for a year. Off grid as possible, with required stops in civilisation. Either bus or caravan with tow vehicle doubling as a utility vehicle, plus a dirt bike, full solar, no gas unless for emergency, electric toilet. My Life: Single Male, Musician, works from my computer (Starlink), no human family, just my cats. Platform Ideas: A1) Landcruiser 75/79 single or dual cab Ute 1hz or 1hd + Sleeping system (roof or tray) + Tools + Dirt bike on tray + Largest caravan I can tow safely and legally A2) Isuzu NPR/NPS/FSR 300/450 Sleeping system + Tools + Dirt bike + Largest caravan I can tow safely and legally (Possible fifth wheeler) B) Toyota coaster/Mitsubishi Rosa bus Home Fitout (solar electric only) + Dirt bike on back I have around $65k for a budget But I am aiming to get setup with $50k if possible and the rest for spending on any pre repairs or customising to the setup. The dirt bike is not included in the budget, Just towing vehicle and living space project. Im not sure what else to mention at this point, but any advice or experience in anything mentioned above, is most welcome. Thanks again nomads

Welcome to the forum. Perhaps for your next post, separate it into paragraphs like above to make it more readable. And a thread title that shows what information you are seeking.... e.g. "Help choosing towing vehicle".

A couple of questions. How much does a dirt bike weigh (and the frame to hold it)? Is the goal to live in the van but separately go away in the tow vehicle, thus the sleeping system requirement. In your first option you suggest a sleeping system could be on the tray plus the dirt bike. You would sleep next to it?

The $50K/$65K budget is for vehicle and van? Do you have any towing experience?

If you want to take toys, like the bike, plus a larger van, go with the NPS for capability and safety.
Or rip the wheels off a cheap van and permanently bolt it onto the NPS. No towing will provide many more opportunities to go places that are not otherwise available.
Cheers,
Peter

RE:

By what you envisage taking along, you will be almost certainly overweight with anything but the Isuzu truck. So that makes the decision for you or lose things like the dirt bike.
