Hi, Im new to this site so I'd like to say hello .
Me and my husband have just moved from our house into a caravan on a very lovely site. We have been here for 3 nights now and tbh I'm really struggling adjusting to our new life. I feel anxious and down and I'm wondering if we have mad a mistake.
We have moved homes many times and I always seem to have the same feelings when we do move, but this is the first time we have moved into a caravan. Can I ask if anyone else is living in a caravan for the first time, and if you had the same feelings as me. Thank you in advance
Just a quick hello.
I haven't bought my first caravan yet, but looking online.
Just retired about three weeks ago, and kinda have to downsize to a caravan for financial reasons.
Lots to learn and look forward to, but also, as Alih21 says a bit anxious and know the shock of downsizing will be a hill to climb.
I have a lot of friends I can travel to with the van for a while to get used to it.
Alih21, can you phone or even skype friends and family?
Alih21 living in any confined space can be traumatic for some, particularly if you are unable to use the caravan as intended ie in pleasant weather in beautiful areas - which has not been the case lately. To accustom yourself to the lifestyle, get out of the van as much as practical - go sightseeing, attend happy hours with fellow nomads, stare into the fire with a beverage of choice in your hand. Welcome to the Forum.
Welcome to you as well Cliffzen.
