Any thoughts on replacing the wind out front window with a fixed window.
I'm reluctant to attempt to do the job myself, but over the wet season during heavy rain Im not sure if the water was leaking in around the window frame or the wind out portion was not sealing properly.
I'm leaning toward having a new window made with a heavily tinted and reflective polycarbinate with a new aluiminum frame. I suppose that I need a specialist manufacture because of the rounded bottom courners
Sorry I only just noticed your query -
PnM's solution is not as straight forward as suggested by Peter. Any front window is likely to leak, normally forced in by forward motion into wind. It is most usual to leak under the silicon caulking rather than the window gasket. Get some rubber tape (www.temu.com/ul/kuiper/un9.html~j-dfb30332~f-7f547e1b&_x_ns_product_id=1342919-17592590102809&_x_ads_sub_channel=shopping&_p_rfs=1&_x_ns_prz_type=-1&_x_gmc_catalog=1342919&_x_ns_sku_id=17592590102809&mrk_rec=1&_x_ns_catalog_id=1342919&_x_ads_channel=bing&_x_gmc_account=3544489&_x_ads_creative_id=82601188814561&_x_ns_device=c&_x_ads_account=176188701&_x_ns_match_type=e&_x_ns_msclkid=651f7254f38c188bcc7e1a79f79e51e1&_x_ads_set=521221344&_x_ns_source=o&_x_ads_id=1321615369961832&msclkid=651f7254f38c188bcc7e1a79f79e51e1&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=BING_ADS%3A9069D888A1622112405DAA859F1D07B8&utm_term=4586200445085230&utm_content=BING_ADS%3A9069D888A1622112405DAA859F1D07B8
It will sealthe offending area around the window permanently.

Well yesterday I washed the front of the van and there wasn't any apparent egress of but the front kitchen bench was saturated.
This morning I washed the front section on the roof, there was some egress apparent from a side window.
Next step is to remove that window and reseal it, and I picked up tub of Ormond waterproof membrane to seal the front section of the roof just in case pin holes in the roof are the cause.
I would use a good quality polyurethane sealant something like Sika Pro which is available from the big Green shed.
I did a lot of testing with various sealants on aluminium to various substrates and for sealing windows into openings the higher grade urethane were the best.
Many of Perths curtain wall systems on high rise buildings are sealed to the building fabric with one of those products.
Sika Pro does not need priming provided the surfaces are very clean so pull the window out of the opening, do a really good clean up finishing with methylated spirit and then reseat in a good bed of Pro.
Be aware though that many sealants and in particular silicones, are not compatible with most plastics and will part company with them in reasonably short order.

A great roof product was Ormonoid Silver Shild but its no lomger available, it appears Sika has taken over some of their products. So I will be using Sika's Ormonoid Bitkote No3 trailing it on the fromt meter of the roof.
