Hi. Its disconcerting when you hear If they really want to steal it, theyll steal it.

Are wheel clamps a case of you get what you pay for? Any advice on good ones that dont cost the earth?

Thanks

Just make sure it has heeps of cross sectional material. My Bosch 12v angle grinder with a new 76mm disc will cut through 60 x 3mm galvanised pipe (5.3 sq cm) in 2 minutes on the first cut. 4min  second cut, 7min third cut, because its motor is heating up.

Noel,
Most wheel clamps are Visual Deterrent only - it depends on who want to borrow your equipment & how prepared they are. Obviously the stronger the clamp, the more effort they have to put in to break/cut the clamp(s).

The best type in my way of thinking would be to have a touch sensitive explosive device fitted - then you'll find out who was after your gear!

Very noisy approaches. I thinks Id jack it up, unbolt the axle and fit another axel.
