I'm currently in Bowen and heading to Cairns and Port Douglas within the next week or so, I was hoping to be there for a couple of months but at around $45 a night in most of the parks its just out of the question. There seems to be so many people that I've met on the way that are heading up there for 3-6 months...

With the spread of smartphones, we now have a Find a Park app developed by Brighthouse, a firm based in Mandurah, WA, the West Australian newspaper reported today. It gives details of all parks, including facilities, charges and the ability to book a site, along with driving directions on the phon...

I couldn,t sleep after waking up at 4am, and decided to go down to the local boat ramp to cast a few lures. First cast hooked a nice little 60cm barra, which jumped a few times, and will go well on a forthcoming barby on the beach. Also got a pansized grunter, and a small trevally, both released. -- Edited by...

Gday everyone. Well, our 32 days in the US South West ( California, Arizona, Utah, Nevada) sure was exhausting. The flight over was on a new double deck Airbus A380. Once aboard you would never know it was a double deck plane. We found it comfortable with adequate legroom and by far the quietest jet wev...

Well I'm all packed. 100 litres of cheap fuel. Heaps and heaps of good food. When I'm camping I like to be a bit of a p1ss pot so I've got plenty of wine and grog. 100 kilos of good red gum fire wood to keep warm. Leaving at 5am. Lake eyre here I come.
