My phone just died, I'm in the market for a new one. What I need is something basic and easy to use, don't want or need a smart phone. Your thoughts would be of interest.

Hi guys, I know there are a heap of posts regarding solar, but there is so much information in different ways my old head is spinning. So, can someone confirm or correct me please. If I have a 240V appliance running for 5 hrs at 7.5Amps max - I would be consuming 37.5 A/hrs of power -- is that correct? If I add...

My BA XR6 ute can tow 1600kgs, has a carrying capacity in the tub of about 560kgs and a ball weight of 160kgs. The tow bar can take 2300kgs load & 160kgs ball weight. I got the show pony, not the workhorse. Does this mean that if I have full ball weight of 160kgs, then my carrying capacity is 400kgs? My ve...

Has anyone had a problem with a Jayco Starcraft Outback 16ft with a rear ensuite and a truma airconditioner on the roof and also a solar panel on the roof. We picked up the van on 18 May brand new from Jayco and took it up to Wangaratta the following weekend for its first trip - when we got home we decided to pu...

To a large blackwater tank. I did not realise that the size of the cassette on my new thetford toilet was so small, (around 17Ltrs) as I am aiming to be self sufficient for weeks rather than days, does anyone know if it is possible to plumb the thetford directly into say a 100Ltr black water tank fitted wit...

Hi again, How many liters does the average shower use per minute in your van. Our new snail has 2 x 82 liter tanks. lambie wants her shower. The way she likes to use the shower we might need to refill in each country town. (Joke) I hope the shower rose is small. I might get a tub every Saturday night, if I...

Hi, I have a bus that I am converting and wonder if I could get a reasonable finish by hand (roller) painting rather than having to have it spray painted which might leave me without arms and legs. Anyone have any advice or experience on doing this?

Hi folks I have finally found the problem with my ESC. After the brake repair I pulled the ESC off the van and ran a continuity check back to the 12 pin connector. To my shock and horror the positive and negative have been transposed ON the ESC connector (according to the book). I am going to change them and...

I've got a couple of mobiles using the Aldi mobile service. Noticed last night that when I used one phone to call the other (checking ringtone), I was charged 12 cents for each call, despite that fact they were not answered. Now, I have no gripes at all with the Aldi service, but I wonder if it is normal pra...

I have been using a bit of 12 v dc lately. Had some problems with a couple of my leads. The ones that plug into the socket (Cig style) and then into the appliance. The plugs have a fuse in the tip to protect it and I have found recently 3 times that the fuse, although appearing to be good is actually not letting...

My System Restore won't, and I don't know why. It goes through the procedure, then tells me nothing has been restored. Would it be because I'm stubborn, and still running XP ?
