Does any one have any idea if its possible to rip a 240 volt compressor out of a fridge and replace it with a 12 volt one? Surely both 240 and 12 volt compressors work on the same principle and the idea should be feasible, hopefully winding up with a half decent R.V. fridge. Gemmybob.

I have a 2014 20 ft Jayco Conquest and want to fit a Fiamma Carry-bike Pro C rack to it. I can see I have to fit it off centre and to the left to avoid drilling into the bathroom but is there an optimum position for it?
