I'm after a bit of advice please. We have a 17" caravan with a 80w solar panel and one 120amp deep cycle GM battery. I am thinking about replacing the old, not working 90L Electrulux 3way fridge with a Weaco CR-1110 2 way (110ltr). To do this I am thinking of adding either 2 X 80w panels or one 120w pane...

Does any one have any idea if its possible to rip a 240 volt compressor out of a fridge and replace it with a 12 volt one? Surely both 240 and 12 volt compressors work on the same principle and the idea should be feasible, hopefully winding up with a half decent R.V. fridge. Gemmybob.
