I am in the midst of setting up the van up for 12 Volt. I 'm sure it is a personal thing and varies for everybody but can you give me some ideas please of what is perhaps the 'normal' number of days most 'nomads' 12 volt power supplies lasts for with their solar before they need to head for 240 volt? Hello all, My mate switched on his 3 way caravan fridge on 240v this week and it's taken a good day or so to bring the temp down to 4 degrees C. It was a fairly hot day when first switched on and the van hasn't been used for about 6 months. Could someone please advise how long it would normally take for an absor...

I have a 12 pin flat plug/socket and - in spite of bridging two of the 30amp connectors for the fridge (2 +ve and 2-ve) and van battery charging - I still have pin discolouration from overheating after a few hours on the road. I am aware that an Anderson plug/skt would solve the problem but I would like to av...

Hi, we have just traded our 2002 Supreme Quest Poptop (19') in for a 2006 Jayco Stirling, 21'6" caravan. The poptop towed really well behind our Nissan Navara Dual Cab, no problems with sway at all. Hello everyone. Another question from he-who-listens-but-knows-little, When at Tambo in September, a seemingly knowledgeable chap advised me that have a second set of back springs fitted to our 2010 Ford G6E sedan that we use to tow our pop-top would raise the tow vehicle's rear and thus assist in...
