We are at the Barra Resort at Daly River. Great place to stay. $150 for the week. Includes power and all facilities. Marnie and Stuart are the very friendly owners. Plenty of Barra in the river too. We'll be back.

If Travelling to FNQ don't miss Cooktown Caravan Park - scrupulously clean, reasonable rates and friendly owners, they sell themselves as ' having no sand-flies' which is something the others cant claim.

We plan a trip up the Bruce Highway staying at Gympie, Gladstone and Monto and invite advice on caravan parks in or near those towns. Have read some pretty poor reviews, and Gladstone in particular seems a difficult place to obtain powered site fees. Any help welcome.

Stayed there last night. Very nice little park. Staff are really helpful,fresh scones on arrival. Windscreen washed on departure. Great log fire for Happy Hour, $19 pn X2 solo's a little cheaper if you ask nicely. Showers are really hot. We will visit again on our way home.

Stayed a night at Westonia 9k off the highway east of Merriden, $15 night power, water gravel site surrounded by grass excellent help from the caretaker, told washing m/c was only $1, raining so didn't use well worth the stop.

Rupanyup is 44km west of Horsham. Bluemetal surface sites. 2 power points so 8 caravans in theory. $10/night. Hot shower is $1 for 5mins. (that's a long time for a shower.) Great museum next door.

Lovely little quiet town. 39kms south of Cohuna. 80kms north of Bendigo. PO, IGA, hotel, swimming pool, tennis courts, golf club. Lovely sunset photos from the Hill. $15/night for powered site. Green grass. Water. Clean amenities but small. Washing machines and dryer.
