For those who have the misfortune to travel the Bruce Hwy, some good news as the Gympie By Pass - Gympie to Currra has opened, which means no traffic jams in Gympie and a 4 lane Hwy Curra to Brissie, only 1,500more Kms to do for a decent road to Cairns, should only take another 40 years.

Hi traveler's. Ive been warned off the murrumbateman Rd to bungendore pulling a 196 viscount. (Witha ranger) From looking at hema maps and Google etc I cant see why. Has anyone traveled this with a van? Would be a heck of a lot easier/quicker than going through Canberra. Cheers TIA
