Falls Creek to Omeo

Hello everyone.

I am wanting to go from Wodonga to Lakes Entrance this weekend...30/11/2024...towing my van for a short stay at Lakes Entrance.

Due to a sinkhole on The Great Alpine Road at Harrietville before Mt Hotham the road is closed.

My question is has anyone here taken a van across Falls Creek to Omeo, is it more twisty than the Mt Hotham way.

Most of the information I can find suggest not to take a van across Falls Creek, I myself cannot establish why this is so.

So if you have taken a van across Falls Creek to Omeo recently, your advice & experiences would be most welcome.

My van is not large by any means, probably 17 foot built for Two....

Many Thanks in advance.

Drive it yourself from your chair - Falls Creek to Glen Valley Omeo Highway - The authour posted it 12 months ago. Play it back at double speed to take less time watching it.

I watched the whole trip. There was nothing along it that would excite me. As I remember back to the time I drove the Omeo Hwy, it seemed a bit more twisty than this one.
