This road is great. Mostly flat, sealed all the way with lots of new seal. Very little traffic it seems. Shortcut to Nyngan instead of going via Bourke.

Road from Thargomindah, Eromanga, Windorah, Jundah, in and out of Stonehenge - all sealed now although just one lane much of the way but all good as very little traffic. Ignore the 'Dry weather only' sign on the southern Stonehenge road - needs updating as the road is now sealed all the way.

Dayboro then up Mount Mee yesterday. A steep winding slow road for about 6km out of Dayboro. Ok with the van - just dont try to hurry. Plan to leave Ipswich on August 16 to travel to Monto via Kingaroy, Gayndah, Mundubbera. Is this way ok?? Had sacked Monto from travel but reported new owners at van park there and getting okay review.

Currently in Sapphire and would like to go via Rubyvale, Capella, Dysart, 'Cosmos' I think it is a property on the Fitzroy Dev. Road and then north to Mindi on the Peak Downs Highway and then into Mackay. I would like to know if all of the roads are sealed.

We're looking to travel to Lake Eyre while it still has water in it. Met a bloke recently who reckoned the Oodnadata track had been chewed up pretty badly following the rains they had up there. Does anyone have anymore up to date information on the track's condition? Regards Dave

A fair bit of roadwork on the Newell Hwy, mainly just before Coonabarabran, where you can get held up for 5 to 10 minutes and then about 20 klms out of Moree where we spent 15 minutes in a major line waiting to get through. Otherwise the road is pretty good.
