We are in Broken Hill and would like to visit Coward Srings, can any one tell us what the condition of the road is from Roxby Downs to Coober Pedy via William Creek. We are towing a large van with a Land Rover Defender. Any info appreciated. Landy

Mentioned on news here tonight,due to rain in some parts of central and north QLD some roads in N/Parks are closed dur to heavey rain. May pay to check before heading into any of the parks. (8/ 5/ 20 )

The Bruce Highway has claimed another two peoples lives , up near Townsville in a two car accident . Two ladies on there way out of Townsville to play golf some where.

leaving brisbane around 11thmay for townsville would some feedback on the bruce hwy or any other alt way to go i know you can log into some ssites and check but i would like infor on road conditions from recent travellers using these roads thanks cherylle

The bruce h/ way is cut off due to flooding south of Gympie QLD ,will be cut until at least wed /night posted 26/ 2 /2013.

I'm looking at travelling later this year from Dubbo to St George Via Lightning Ridge onto Roma and then following the A7 to Charters Towers as a different route for me to get to Mission Beach to see my kids, I will be towing my Jayco poptop. Can anyone advise if the roads are OK on this route. Thanks

Due to the landslide last year on this highway, it will be closed for works 3 days a week for 4-5 weeks. I think it starts next week. So closed Tues am to Thurs pm. Alternative route is via Nerriga - turnoff south of Nowra. Or there is Brown Mountain just north of Bega.

If you are thinking of going this way - check at Bright Visitors Info Centre or the RTA site - the road to Hotham may be closed in daylight hours, allowing workers to clean up after fires.
