Holding The Dream

For some time I have been campaigning (not nagging!) to join the many happy caravaners on the road.  My husband has retired, I work part time, and I want us to get "retyred".  It looks like it just may happen early next year.  In the meantime, I am researching vans and would like to hear feedback from people who have a Jayco Expanda 2 berth pop top.  Husband is concerned about towing, and I want to learn how, so figure this van could be just right.

I have just started looking at van options myself. One thing I felt about the Jayco expandas is that the roof of the extended bed areas are only covered by tent material, this can get very hot in the sun unless you go to the trouble of putting an external fly over it which is more cumbersome. There is also the problem of it getting wet when you need to move on. I have noticed some other vans have an expanded bed that has a solid top which may be a better option.
