melbourne to cooma...help!


i want to travel melbourne to cooma. can someone tell me if bairnsdale to cooma is a difficult winding road. which is the quickest drive melb/albury/cooma or melb/bairnsdale/cooma or melb/tathra/cooma

I reccon the Monaro Hwy would be the quickest, and the Barry Hwy (via Jindabyne and the Snowy River) the most interesing. The Barry is winding and partly un surfaced, but very pretty.

Try, cann river highway.monaro highway. try orbost,bombala route then about one hour from bombala  towed boat back that way.
