Hi, I am a newbie to the forum. My hubby and I are 'baby boomers', not quite grey nomads but getting there! We live in Nth Qld and have decided to relocate to tasmania. It is so dreadfully hot here almost all year round and I don't think I could face another summer. Our dilemma is, we don't know whether to sell everything (ie furniture, belongings etc-we don't own our house) or have it transported to Tas. We have no work to go to and nowhere to stay. So, we thought we might try for housesitting and/or caretaking. We're just not sure how to go about this or what the best thing to do is. Many years ago way back in the early '70's, we packed up and left nsw for qld with just a few meagre possessions and $5 in our pocket. We drove all the way. It was a big adventure then and we were not worried about anything. I can't see us doing that now lol. It's ok when your young. Anyway, we would welcome hearing from others who may have made a similar 'seachange' and any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.
