Hi All, Hubby, kids and I are looking at taking work on a Cattle Station at Theodore QLD. Wondering if you have travelled there and may have any suggestions of what we can look at in our spare time. Our two kids are 9 and 7 and love the idea of being on a farm. Thanks Nenie!!!!!
There's not a lot in Theodore, but take a rod, you can do a spot of fishing in the Dawson River, visit Cracow, an old Mining town,go for a drive to Banana via Moura, spend a bit of time at the Pub , I'm not sure if there's a museum there , once you have done the activities I mentioned you won't have much left, Oh there could be a Bowling club, or other sporting activities, I'm sure the Locals will guide you on the right track and keep you busy.
Thanks Doug We are taking 12 months off and travelling Australia. Hubby and I have just picked up work there for 3 months. The kids will be attending the local school so we will be looking at travelling in our time off. Doesn't have to be in town itself - even 300-700kms away so we can plan things for weekend. Cant wait to try something new. Nenie
Nenie Was watching TV tonight, [Saturday] and they had a segment about Theodore mentioned in the report about the Nat' parks nearby, they said there is a Pony Club there . You coulld visit the Isla Gorge National Park not far away.
