Arrived Perth

Left Adelaide midnite Sat, to Eucla 4pm,car only, strong winds, 3 hrs rain.1 hr snooze Iron Knob and lots of 5 min eye closures.long trip but great to break back as rest was relatively easy. Accom hard to get at Kalgoorlie as a large shutdown on,mines. beware early next month booked out for days some gold wheeling and dealing event worldwide visitors.
Unleaded worst at Balladonia 209 norseman 178 kal 162 perth 156 can bypass if topping up sensibly to get passed. Mundrabilla Bio only, really felt my age there it was new 35 yrs ago.Eucla hotel motel good clean and a great roast.
Just out of Ceduna i saw this beautiful Rossella type coloured bird in a tree alongside of road decided to wake my wife to show, big mistake, turned back to find it was a bread bag dangling from a branch, umm, no camels to be seen,mm.
Also signs indicating camels, think it must be the new nymph theory, no bloody camels anywhere except at Balladonia, fluffy ones on the shelf for sale. Girl serving laughed and said she saw hoof prints once. Even passed camel farm out of Coolgardie guess what

hey good news, another one safely across, thanks for the fuel prices will put them in my "usefull stuff pile", dont feel bad about the rosellas they are tricky little buggers, I once seen one making out it was a colored tissue on the side of the road, boy they are smart, had me fooled, course I knew it was a tissue?? no really I did!!! as for camels, hardly ever seen, deadly when they are, when we crossed we never seen any but spoke to a truckie (black top warrior) who told us that a month before his last trip a couple were killed by two of them, hit them at 100kms/hr no chance of survival apparently the camels escaped injury, we often see them the other side of coober pedy, one thing to note, when you do see them stay in your vehicle if the bulls are in season  (big tonguey thing hanging and flopping out the side of his mouth and running around like a mad thing, like a teenager at a formal) he will jealously guard his girls and kill or maime anyone within a bulls roar of him, keep away, did you see any big fishies whilst going across, anyway keep us abreast of your employment at the c/park and your travels  smile
