Kuipto Forrest

Just returned from a great week end away at Kuipto Forrest, 45 minutes from Adelaide. Although not free its damn close to it, $3 per adult a night.

We stayed at
Chookarloo
Set amongst gums along a small creek 1.5km from
the information centre on Brookman Road.
It is the main camping area at Kuitpo and has
shelters, rainwater, picnic tables and toilet with
access to the Chookarloo and Heysen walking trails.

Camp fires allowed and you can gather firewood for free, but not allowed to cut up any standing trees.

Extract from the Visitor Information brohcure;

"Dogs are allowed in the forest,but must be under direct control at all times and are expected to be on a leash in picnic and camping areas or when near other visitors"
