is it bouncing around on the arm, if so is it likely to break off the screws at the back and fall, the arm wont break it will be the mounting that will tear out on either the cabinet or the rear of t.v., ours is not mounted but I am looking in to it, all we do is lay it on its back with a protective cover (the one that came with it is fine) over the face and we then place a towel or something like that over it again ( just to keep it away from prying eyes and stop it from moving too much) but if it is solid on the arm without risk of breakage then leave it there, keep an eye on both mounting points for damage and at the first sign tighten things up, if your arm is extenable then I would secure it right back somehow, maybe a rubber band or something like that, it is more likely to break if it is extended right out, as far as I know there is only a circuit board at the rear (inside) the tv and the only likely damage that could be caused is if you scratch the screen, must also be carefull what you clean the screen with. once scratched or dented (and they do dent, larger ones break) it is beyond repair, dust is also a factor if you are travelling off road, we have taken ours all over the Kimberley and down the west coast in this fashion we had no problem and there are some pretty rough roads up there, basic care and maintanence and pre trip tightening procedures should see you right

We have travelled over 25000klms without any problems.  We leave ours attached to the mounting arm and lay it flat on the bench to which it is mounted.  We do use the some of the "original shaped foam packing" that came in the box with the TV initially, and this protects it from bouncing and touching the bench.  Not laying it flat and leaving it swing on the arm will eventually cause problems with the mounting screws.
