I dont believe that there is a mob of senior women in here at all, I think it is a pack of twaddle gump, the women that I know would talk down a lightpole when they got together and yet here in a terrific forum setup just for that purpose it remains mostly silent, what about talking about the grandkids, the neighbors grandkids, the missing family the trips you have taken the things you have done, dont let this fantastic gossiping place die just because you cant think of anything to say, sorry to butt in on the solos again, but hey, use it or lose it

Been doing my best Dave but became a bit embarassed with all the NannyMon posts !!
NannyMon, don't be embarrassed by your number of posts - I for one have enjoyed reading all the back and forths between you, Dave and Basil. I'm a female Solo too, like you, a bit nervous about starting off on this new lifestyle, but I have my parents'example to follow - they were Grey Nomads for 20 years. So, if they could do it, so can I!
Dave, having lived in close proximity to some of the grandchildren for the last 8 months, I don't think I'll have any probs leaving them behind when I take off (somewhere around end of Sept). Yay! Peace and quiet at last!

Hi Cee, I haven't contributed much so far, but here I am now. I'm 67, and bought a Toyota Hi-ace about a year ago. Haven't been off in it yet, but getting closer to the great day. It's a pop-top, great to drive, the bed is very good to sleep in, and there is a solar panel on the roof. Been taking it for a long drive once a week to keep the battery charged. The trouble is, when I start out, I want to keep going. I'm almost at the point when I can start going for longish trips thank goodness. There seems to be plenty of room for me and my two small Furry children, so you should be OK with one.
Hi there Cee, big welcome to you, I am a solo GN too. Left Hervey Bay a month ago, now at Newcastle NSW with my daughter, seen a lot and met a lot of people, I hope to get to WA 2009. First grandchild entering world end march, then I am off to explore. See you on the road. Cheers Barb.
