I reckon either we are on rations, or all our Solo Nomads have scampered and heading for them far horizons. How lucky can you get. I'm sitting here listening to my folk hero Slim Dusty's Family Reunion Album, and now my feet are itchy with them musical adventures. But, after helping my daughter with car repairs my wallet is thinner than a water cracker biscuit. Now waiting for a resupply...thanks Mr Rudd. Heck, I'm now so broke that if I wanted a holiday I couldn't afford to get out of sight.."bugga"
Grizzley Now I am not a country music fan, but I thought I mention this, as it may make your green.
I had to do a job at Oonadata (not sure of the spelling), back in the late 70's. Slim and his family were there, putting on a concert in the local hall. As I was there, I went. Top show, fell in love with his daughter Anne??, my age ish and singing.
So mate, he is gone, but the music still lives, and an oportunity missed on my part. The locals were stoked. He was as he claimed, a travelling man.
bide your time grizz, it's coming, just wait till payday, as I keep on saying you dont have to go far just as long as you go, when you do, have a beer for me

That is a sweet looking outfit Veronica..your going to be extremely comfortable whether it be driving or camping..wonderful. Sort of makes my outfit look like a museum piece, but nothing will compare to the palacial rig that Basil tugs around the country. Now that we all know what you have we can wave at every white car and trailer zooming into our view..happy times ahead for you.
Thanks for the photo's. I am not a caravan person, so wondered what an "A" van was. Your photo's told me. How roomy is it inside, and what luxuries does it have.
Hope your trip is all you wish it to be, and love to hear how you get on - will you have internet, to keep us informed?
Hi Veronica! No photos yet! I'm still trying to figure how to use the camera! I'm not too IT friendly. I'll post some soon. Good luck with your travels and I like the rig! I'm sure we will be meetiing up soon. Bubs
Hi all. Thanks for your good wishes. I'm going to start a new post and answer your questions there so this one doesn't get full up with me, me, me. I'll call it "On the Road again", if you want to check it out. Actually, I've put "On the Road Again" as the ring tone on my mobile phone. Gives me a real buzz everytime anyone phones.

Hi Veronica, good to know you'll soon be on the road again. I am up on the Murray at the moment and will soon head off to the Flinders Ranges. Maybe we will meet somewhere!!! Drive safely. Meeting interesting people including a youngish woman about to head off on her own, much to her familys horror who predict dire consequences or at worst, death by crocodile! Had her and her mum for happy hour to show it can be done happily and safely. Hope mum happier afterwards. GO THE SOLOS!! Helen

Hi Helen, the fact that you've been happily on the road for fifteen or is it eighteen months now, on your own, should be inspiration for any single woman planning to go it alone. You go girl.
Hope to catch up with you very soon.
