I have bought a second hand GME TX3400 UHF radio. It didn't come with a user manual, can anyone suggest where I could get one. Have looked on the net with no luck so far
Hi Gary and Kerry I have just googled gmetx3400 and several choices came up, the first one (TX3400) will give you a full operating manual in a pdf file. Make sure when you google gmetx3400 you also highlight the "pages from Australia" If no success try www.radioworks.com.au/files/tx3400.pdf
Hi Gary and Kerry Just checked, forget what I said before and just type in the following: www.radioworks.com.au/files/tx3400.pdf and you will get the manual on the screen, from there you can print it

gary would you let me know how you get on with the 3400 please and what sort of aerial you ended up with, I am looking at doing the same, but ask a dozen experts (and I have ) and you get a dozen answers on brands and performance

Well its fitted to the car and I can hear people and they can hear me, so I must have got it right. I have never owned a CB before so have nothing to compare it with. I bought from an ex truckie who swore that this was the best around, only paid $100 so can't really go wrong. What aerial....................... it came with one , brand/model haven't a clue so picture attached.
Is fitted to the terracan which we only use when towing but will take it for a drive next weekend and see what it does.
cant go wrong at $100 dollars and it works, so far so good, ahhh!!! you got the curly wiry bendy thingy one, now that is of course a technical term and I dont expect everyone to understand the complexity of my terminoligy , when I had the old cb radio, I had to "trim" the aerial did you have to do the same or just whack er on and she's apples, when you go to the kimberleys will you give me a call, should have my "ears on" by then "come on back"
