Silence is golden.....

it is very quiet on the forum. As a soon to be an on the road G/N.I would like to read about other G/N's first trips, doubts, etc. To learn about other peoples experiences is a great education.I must explain that my wife and I are 69 and 65 years old teenagers. We have three grown up kids, four grandchildren, one pup,and a travel bug.We had a camper trailer tent style,we enjoyed it,but it was like a fight between two Gladiators when erecting it.I did everything right, spoke nicely, kept my temper ,looked upwards for divine help.I really tried to get on with the Trailer.so now we have bought a Jayco Penguin 2000 vintage camper trailer.Dave06 has given us a dream to work towards and I thank him for that.I am still not looking forward to meeting that "Feral Gulflander".Well better go.Thank you all for a great Forum and a valuable source of information.Any spelling mistakes are not the fault of the person typing this.Cheers Ibbo.winkOh Dear.Change 65 to 64 someone was not happy Jan lol

Good luck with it all, Martin. It's a great dream and an even better reality. My first trip in the caravan was a short one for a couple of days to shake the bugs out (not the travel bug, Dave). Then got more adventurous and headed north from near Melbourne, to Mildura and Broken Hill. Met great people and saw some wonderful countryside. Now here I am in South Australia still learning, still trying new ideas and enjoying the scenery and the friendliness. Go for it. Oh, by the way, I'm 69 next month and getting better all the time. Age is no limit as long as you've got your health. No news there, eh?
