SECURE STORAGE

Will be in Adelaide in the second week of March 2009.  Me and the child bride are flying from there to Perth to see the granddaughter and some of Western Australia for about two weeks.  Does anybody know of a storage centre, caravan park, abandoned prison or paddock where we could leave our car and van (14ft pop top) for two weeks at a less than crippling cost?
If we had more time and it wasn't the middle of summer I would drive over.

I'm looking and asking, and asking and looking, and if I manage to locate a spot then it will probably be up here in the Adelaide Hills.

Hi Ian & Pauline.
We have a driveway in the Adelaide hills that you are welcome to use.
We may or may not be home at that time as this is about when we expect to head north, but I hope our sitter would be in.
It would not be "secure" though. No cost. All care and no responsibility.
PM if you want more info.

Cheers,
Peter

Ian if you are coming down through port pirie at all, I have an area out the front of my block that would accomodate your van for a couple of weeks, I store trailers and concrete mixers out there from time to time and nothing has ever been touched,

it is in the same block as our house so I dont think security would be a problem, of course there will be no charge, we will be coming and going (as that is our lifestyle) we are either working or visiting freinds, busy time of the year

but you would have access anytime, if you wish you may contact me at my email address by left clicking on my avatar

Thanks Peter.  I will let you know how we go.   I might be able to secure storage with the S.A. Police in a holding yard but its all a bit up in the air at present.  Bye the Bye, how far are you from the airport (taxi rides etc).

Ian, we are between Blackwood and Belair, in the hills south of the CBD. Probably a 30 minute, $25 cab to the airport. You would be welcome to camp in the driveway if that was useful. There is power & water available, and a dump point for a portaloo too!
Can't compete with a Police yard for security though.....hmm
Give us a call on 0418804221 anytime.

Cheers,
Peter

Peter and Margaret

After much tooing and froing I at long last secured storage at a local cop shop near the airport.   Thanks again for the kind offer of your place in the Adelaide Hills.
