Great to see some pics of my old home turf Mount Compass and Victor H. I don't get down that way very often did a day trip about a year ago from Adelaide and was surprised how Mount Compass had grown but it had been 20years and all along the coast its like one place from Goolwa to Victor H. chezgo

Hi,
We spent Xmas and New Year in East Victoria

at the Blue Gum Caravan Park at Eildon by the Lake Eildon, not a good place to visit Xmas NY as your sharing it with 500 other tents and caravans...no power and you just park where you can find a spot....surounded by mountains with the Goulbourn River running past your door..

I enjoyed your photos of Blue Gums, we had an onsite van there about 30 years ago when our daughter was about 3 and she had a ball there. There were no trees then , bit different now. This has brought back some great memories. Thanks.

I was just looking at your photos and the are great. I noticed your camper and the pictures of the solar panel and accessories. Could you give a brief over view of how it all works. thanks Robbo3

Yes...the solar panel is 80watt.....regulated and suppling a deep cycle 120 amp hour battery....that runs our waeco fridge uses 1amp per hour and lighting...the panel produces about 5 amps....if pointed at the sun....I use an amp guage to monitor it...and move the panel accordingly....I heard a rumor that Blue Gums was caught in those bad bushfires....but I not contacted them ....We camped at the lowest bottom end of the CP....level ground down there....

Hope that helps you Rob..

Hey Gary when you getting home??

Thanks for he advice on the panel. I doubt Blue Gums would have been in the path of the fires. Eildon is a little higher up from where the worst of the fires were.
