hi everyone, can anyone inform me on the fuel consumtion of the 200 series whilst towing? i have a coromal full van weighs 1800kgs loaded, rather hear from someone who has one rather than the sales person pitch, im looking at the diesel version
Not an answer but more the experience we had with a 3 Lt. D Turbo Patrol towing a 17 ft Jayco poptop Expanda from Perth .
Around town solo about 10.7 -100
On trip with van loaded to the ceiling 13.2- 100 sitting between 80 - 90 KPH
The rule of thumb I was told to use was once you hook up a van , boat or the like you can half you fuel economy . I assume the Toy having a 6 cylinder it would be a little more thirsty .
There are to many variables to take into account to give even a ball park figure.

Hi all, I have a 100 series t/diesel and we average about 17l -18L p/100k towing a 2.5 tonne boat. I generally sit near or at the speed limit and push it along.
The previous owner of my car who now has a 200 series tows a 3.2 tonne 24 ft van has told me he is getting about the 18l p/100km. i am unsure of what speed he travels at. By the way the 200 series is a twin turbo V8 diesel or petrol V8.
Given your van is considerably lighter, i would expect these figures at a minimum, after running in, depending on your driving.
hi all, my vehicle is 200 series twin turbo diesel v8, thank you for answering my query all i have to do is run her in then im off the site for a couple of months dave
