Travel Diary

Does anyone use an online diary/blog to record their travels?
We have just set one up for our trip next year  so that family and friends can keep track of where we have been and what we have been doing.
There are lots of free sites available and are very easy to set up.
Our page can be viewed at http://garynkerry.blogspot.com

good idea but not for me, I would not be faithfull to it, and lets face it if we were to place a statement everyday it would bore the pants off us such as,

day 12 hot night had three wee's wee's, dribbled coming back from loo, change jammys,

arose at 8 am cleaned teeth had brekky, damn forgot to wash hands, oh well she didnt notice

12.30 p.m. lunch was a disorderly affair, cheese and tomato sangers (toasted of course) clean shirt required after removal of tomato stain, place in bottom of basket so she wont notice it

3 p.m. DRINKY time, got pla, pis, sto, ahh!!! bugger it had a couple too many, see attached photo of me vomiting on somebodys dog, see dog run, see big owner beat the crap out of me and use my tongue to clean dog, see me not wanting to put tongue back in mouth

6 p.m.  taken to local hospital, full recovery expected in about a month, not too much lasting damage

day 13- 7 a.m. (bloody cleaners) hospital, not much to report, had an interesting bed bath this morning, getting to like this place

I'm battling to keep the vehicle log never lone a diary, but I had squizz at the site and will keep an eye on it, should do O.K. good luck with it

G'day Gary, Kerry.

What a good idea. You showed me yours so I guess I'd better show you mine. Actually, I had never thought of the idea of using a blog, so I pinched your idea and have created one at http://thegreyroamer.blogspot.com/

I agree with Dave that it's not something that could be kept up-to-date daily, but if it was updated weekly or fortnightly, what a great way to share one's travels, observations, photographs, road reports, free camps etc. without clogging up the forum.

Those that are interested could view it, those that aren't (raspberry)

Look forward to reading about your travels

Mike

Great idea but you need to keep it up...our son set one up when he went overseas, I checked it every day ...........nothing, he's been back in Australia now since October and still no entry!!! guess he was having too much fun to write his daily adventures down.

Great for friends and family, especially if you are on the road for months at a time.
Only the ones who want to, need to look.
We only post abbreviated slide shows (see the link below) and sometimes post CDs to frends too.

Cheers,
Peter
