Yes congratulations  GURU Basil !

Now i have a question for Guru 1 and Guru 2,  assuming Guru 1 is Dave??
What is the criteria for membership status i.e. we were known as 'newbies' then 'members' and now after a whopping 26 posts we are now 'veteran members' !! isn't this for people who have served their country in wars gone by?  we may have  had a few disagreements over the years, and maybe the few missiles have been thrown but wouldn't call it a war!! The next status after this is SENIOR member, Oh my lordy lord! I'm not old enough for a seniors card, hobbit might qualify but me, got years to go!

I await your definitions

in here we reward old age, we are the few who know that along with old age comes wisdom, common sense, and patience,

oh BUGGER THAT we have gone through the "wait your turn dear" stage, we want everything and we want it right bloody now,

if there is "guru" stage on offer then we want it and we want it now, what else have you got for us

speaking of things senior, we have yet to have an explanation of your absence Basil, are we to just guess where you have been, are you not going to "share" with us, did you go to that "nudey place" and caught something that you dont wish to discuss or what.

Strewth... you people are sharp I did not realise I was a GURU.....
Dave I went back to Tathra with the new car to recover my van left there after the last enthralling episode.... Did I go to a "nudey place"? well I can neither cofirm nor deny that I was at a nude beach (google ARMONDS BEACH) but I can assure you all that my integrity and budgie smugglers remain intact as the weather was more inducive to my "polar wear".... there were however some real die hards at the beach sitting under a beach brolly in the pouring rain who were taking their nudity very seriously indeed....

Thanks for your response re membership status but I am still unclear as to how members earn their status. i.e. veterans seniors etc, we thought one of the "Guru's" which according to the dictionary means 'teacher', 'guide', 'leader', and is regarded with the highest respect, would have given a more detailed explanation rather than a politicians.  Or is it because you are now gurus you have surpassed the senior position which puts you in an older age bracket therefore experience more 'seniors moments'.

So if the gurus can't answer my question is there anyone else out there who can tell me how member status is attained?

Thank you Guru 1 or should we say your worship, "the one who knows all"
........................

us poor humble veteran sometimes need things told to us in laymans language.

So from my understanding GURU is as good as it gets....I think hon Webmistriss Cindy could create some attitional levels especially for over 1000 posts....
After 1000 posts I think we should be given "plenipotentiary" powers ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plenipotentiary )and be adressed as " The Right Honourable xxxxxx"
Especially for the right honourable member for Port Pirie who has done such wonderful work here....

holy grassy armpits BASIL, thank god you put the dictionary determination in there for me, that would have kept me awake at night knowing that unexplained mongrel was out there, terrorising our written language

yeah bridgee I know all, #@%^ all!!! lol! but oh boy I'm having fun learning everyday!!

I dont think our most gracious and ever knowing hostess had envisaged someone actually running off at the mouth for such an extended period of posts Basil and thereby did not see such a need!! dont matter how many posts or rails I have, Dave does me just fine thank you!!!
