Any one using Nissan X-Trail as tow unit for caravan?

Thinking about purchasing a Nissan X Trail to tow the pop top (1450kgs).
The specs say it is capable with 2,000 capacity, but I'm unsure about the power with only 125Kw.
Still a couple of years away from travelling across the wide brown land, but am occupied at the moment with short 2/3 weeks trips when work permits.Would appreciate any feedback.
