The total hypocracy of it all

Has anyone noted the very Rev Fred Niles recent stand on topless bathing? This bloke is a total hypocrit, I have talked to him on a few occasions seeking his help to have certain websites closed. One such site had a description, vivid and explicit of a sexual encounter with a mentally disabled girl.... Freds reaction was to give me a spiel about how his hands are tied etc etc but he can bring topless bathing up for discussion in Parliament.....
The mind boggles!

HMMMMM!!!! topless bathing, dont like the sound of it, I'll have to keep a close eye on that

as for hypocrtical reverends and preists, how many alter boys suffered, how many kids in orphanages, how many wars in the name of religion, how many deaths does it take to say enough is enough take your religion elsewhere reverend, if you dont like it dont bloody look

australia is built on freedom of choice and democracy not old english hypocrasy, I watched a program whilst dozing in front of the idiot box the other day, it was about a muslim woman training to become a surf lifesaver, given her religion she had to do all things in her burka, I found myself cheering internally for her and when she passed I had a tear in my eye

freedom of travel, choice, religion and behaviour for male and female is what it means to be australian, if he or anyone else wishes to take any of our freedoms away then he should nick off to some third world backward country where his views are welcome, not here

I'm with you Dave , I'll also keep an eye out for topless bathers , I go to the beach every day and haven't seen one in my age group I like yet. Admittedly there are some who if seen could scar a a person for life , not a pretty sight, those ones should be banned .

I respect everyones right to have their likes and dislikes but why is that Pollies and God Bothers always seem to have their own agenda on the morals of the world, as you say if you don't like it then don't look or flick the channel over .

I recall endless hours of church programs flooding the early days of TV, enough to turn a young bloke off forever , thank the lord the station owners saw the light and got with the desires of the wider community, why can't these holier than thou zealots get a life and realize we don;t want to join up and hold hands .

But Wait there's more to come, with Kev 07 needing the moral crusaders and greens to hold power much of the policy that will govern our lives in the future will have a moral theme of "save the sinners"

For my part I'll leave the sinner saving to God at a later date

G'day,

It would seem that if you want anything done or changed these days then you must join a minority group as our Government seems to bend over backwards for these groups and ignore the majority.

I have no complaint with topless sunbathing, I just hope that all those who do sunbathe topless put on plenty of sunscreen.

I feel that the Rev. Niles of this world should get a life of their own and leave others to live theirs.

Best Regards and Safe Travelling.
John

I have recieved a "survey" from my ISP wanting my opinion on Rudds plans to censor the internet..... Now while I agree that there are some most unsavory sites on the net why does the Federal Govt have to assume the right of guardian. Close down the offensive sites, prosecute and fine the owners and make parents a bit more responsible for what their kids are doing on the net.... Strewth common sense has been thrown out yet again....
I'm not a god botherer but I live my life by decent standards, I don't "like" young children, I obey the laws of the land where appropriate & I help my fellow men & WOMEN but for the life of me I don't want the Govt preaching morals to me when most of the preachers are petty crims anyway.
Why can't they see my point of view?

what happened to parental input, if little johnny is on the net looking at nudey sites then where is mum and dad, if it was my mum she would be in and out before you knew she was there and if I was doing anything untoward she would pull the plug and then lookout when dad got home

if mr Rudd wants a diversion agenda then this is probably a good one, its the old shell game, quick look over there while I hide all this money in here, while we get up in arms about our privacy invasion he is moving more troops into afghanistan or whatever other sneaky rubbish needs doing

it would be impossible to scensor the net, the kids nowadays are far smarter than the adults that mind them, put a filter on and they will find a program to block it,

waste of taxpayers money mr Rudd, get on with your real job, whatever that is, you bludging mongrel, go back to china again, must be a month since you were last there isnt it, you must have enough frequent flyer points to buy out virgin by now, wouldnt want quantas the way the chinese are "non servicing" our planes they keep dropping out of the sky

Therin lies the problem you see, the chemicals in sunscreen it now transpires are carcinogenic not to put too finer points on them, I mean IT!!!!

Next thing they will want to ban TALKING because talking leads to dancing and we all know where DANCING leads....OMG!!!

G'day,

Well I reckon Santa Rudd has finally realised that Aust. is an ageing society and he may well have to rely on the pensioner vote at the next election.

The only talking I did on the dance floor was say sweet nothings in the dance partner's ear trying to get lucky that night.  And if they ban talking then I might as well curl up and die 'cause like a few others have said on this forum I will talk to a fence post if it replies.

Best regards and Safe Travelling.

John

Every pollie eventually turns into a member of the fun police to serve their own interest .

The silent majority is to blame for letting this type of tripe get a jumper . We vote them in then forget about what we are paying them for and so they get delusions of grandeur and think they know all the answers before they hear the questions .

Evey election you see the hopefuls emerge from there BBQ pre-selection get together of the party faithful  focusing on what they think you  the voters want to hear , if successful at the polls they find that the party line is the only line they are permitted to follow and if that does't include your view then go jump . If they are new to the game then the old hands offer to lead them through the maze of political life , that's where the rot starts . After getting that first pay packet without having to produce anything or having any  Key Performance Indicators to complete they are lost to the party line forever. Independents in the correct ratio are a stabilizing force but can be a royal pain when voting against just for the sake of getting five minutes on tele , the Democratics are / were a prime example of surviving on their five minutes in the sun .

US ! the silent majority need to engage with our elected representatives and remind them who they are working for and not standby while having decisions influenced by minority focus groups rule the debate behind closed doors, especially where it effects the well being or life style of of the majority .

A way to ensure the wider community is informed of what is planned for their future is to have a cooling off period of say 12 months before passing some of this pure political opportunism into law.

Anyone who has ever looked into the election numbers after the election night closure would be horrified to see how few votes it takes to get a jumper and these people are running the show when most wouldn't be permitted to run a chook wheel at the local pub

If the ministerial Cabinet is the group who makes the rules by which the country is run then why do we need all the supplementary wankers , they certainly don't majority point of view into account, we find out after the event and it's become law like it or lump it .
