I know theres mega lots of different tyres out there for SUVs...
Soon the tyres on My Pajero are going to have to be replaced...I am not into extreme 4x4 ..so heavy lug tyres are not what I need...I just visited a local tyre dealer and he suggested Kumho 825 Road Venture AT.... size of tyre is 265/70/16..anyone use them....how did they go for road wear and noise please?
I have the same brand of tyres on the Nissan as they were recommended to my and I am trying them out. Same size tyre as yours and I have the APT (all purpose terrain)
Although I have only travelled some 5,000klms on them it appears (one cannot be too sure) that they arewearing well and so far as road nose is concerned, there appears to be very little if any.
There are a little less expensive that the well known brand names, but that doesn't mean to say they are not as good or even better.
At this stage of the game I am more than happy with my Kumhos.

My Kia Sorento came with the Kuhmo Road Venture ST (although in 245/65 17") and I have found them to be excellent. They are absoloutely fabulous in soft sand (providing you drop the pressure) and I have recently been in some boggy mud and on extremely stony bus tracks and they have performed great. They have a reasonably conservative tread pattern and perform on bitumen like proper road tyres. No "humming" that you get from other AT's. I have done 28000 kms so far and they still look like new. If the AT is a little more "off-road" than the ST, you may be sacrificing road behaviour for off-road capability
There may be better tyres out there, but these'll do me. I paid $219.00 for a new one last year so that price sounds about right.
I used to be a tyre reseller, and the only thing I came away with was that one set of tyres are good for someone and the same are no good for others. Driving habits, weight distribution and tyre PRESSURE were the factors.
The tyres you show have a good pattern, but remember the pattern is only designed for water dispersal on bitumen roads. I would not expect any or much road noise from them
The lug tyres provide some assistance in mud and sand, but cannot save the worst of driver, but as you say, are noisy on bitumen, and these are far from being called "lug".
I have had many types of tyres and have found AT (all terrain) are the best for most uses, no matter which brand. I spend my time on getting the tyre pressure correct for the tyre and the vehicle, by watching the wear pattern. I do not use manufacturers recommendation and generally will have mine 10 psi higher. Currently in my Tojo ute, which regularly carries 1 tonne loads I have 60psi in the rears and 40psi on the front, as an example.
In my time, I have found that the use of good driving technique, is far better than to depend on the tyres to get you through.
The other thing, for general information on 4wd's tyres, if you do not have the same "rolling radius" (measurement of the circumference) on all 4, then to engage 4wd on bitumen, put a heavy strain on the drive train.
