RE: beer

Grolsh is not a bad drop, & when the nights cool a bit the old Guinness extra stout round the camp fire goes down well. Have you heard of American Honey by wild turkey, on the rocks is just something special.

not shure i should be naming products on this site but our local home brew shop has a product called Oz tops . using it you can turn longlife (no preseritives added) apple juce or apple/pear juce into cider in a few days.tastes good ond travels well. the same kit also makes a rather potent brew of a lambrusca style booze using grape juice as above. this is potent and swmbo wont let me make it any more.

cheers and good drinking
Jack

may have to ask Basil to set up a section with a poll so as to determine the "most popular" drop of home made beer, I wouldnt mind mucking about a bit with it myself

Dave,
Been away from the forum for awhile.......shame on me....but things have been very hectic here.
Noticed my favoutite topic came up...beer ...and home brew.
I have been making home brew now, on and off for, maybe, 30 odd years.
I currently have a beer fridge complete with two keg system.
Some people love it some people think it an acquired taste.
The thing I like about it is you are able to experiment with many different flavours, tastes, strengths - all depending on mood, budget - whatever. I only make from kits, not from scratch (home brewers will understand this) as I don't have the time at the moment.
I am happy to discuss any aspect of home brew with anyone.
