Hanging Out There

This would almost require side clearence lamps and a ridged body licenece .  This is what I mean about getting into shopping center carparks with a big 4WD  and this was only a puddle jumper  , This can't be legal

Ya gotta shake your head when seeing this type of attachment. What are the owners thinking.

I can see they just wanted to open the back door, without removing the rack, but really. While I think it is legal (just) they are still liable for any damage caused by it, as it is not within the car parking area. Plain lazy, too easy to remove, when not in use.

i can't understand why some people are so lazy that they have to park so close to the shop entry.if you have a slightly larger vehicle why not park an extra 100 yards away and walk.
see some drivers taking several minutes trying to squeeze into a small close carspace when they could be already in the shops if they parked a little further away.
see some drivers taking extra time to park under cover when in shopping centers but i don't see anyone driving along the road with a shade cover over their vehicle.suppose the sun is worse in shop car parks
the mind boggles.

I would think in this instance that would have to be ilegal for many reasons

It looks like a pedestrian kill to me. Well, at least serious injury. It's not even tagged with reflectors or a bright colour.
A vision impaired person would definitely have a case if they walked into it and sustained injuries. What a wanker! It also hinders the movement of every other vehicle in the vicinity. Those opposite trying to reverse out, those either side also trying to get around it without damaging their own car. It does take all kinds, but that attachment is purely selfish with no thought of the consequence of the action.
Rosy and I, complete with spare wheel rack do ok in most car parks. I prefer to park further a way from the entrance as an opportunity to do a bit of walking. I can usually get into a space first pop, or maybe with minor adjustment, depending on the space allowed, and the parking of the person in the next spaces. Power steering is a wonderful thing.

Yer not wrong there CG.

I had a retired F100 ambulance for a while. Great towing wagon, but a horror in carparks; too long, too wide, lousy visibility and no power steering.
Add arthritic hands, arms and shoulders to the mix and you might understand why I leapt at the chance to buy a good used FJ62 Auto delux.

I miss the internal space though.

What is that thing. a bike rack?
Looks like it is only held on by a hitch pin. 5 seconds to remove and store somewhere else.
Maybe they need a bike to ride around the shops.
