I'm New

Hello my name is Libby and I am new.   At this stage I dont have a vehicle to travel in.  I really dont know what I want.  Nothing too big.  I thought I perhaps you can give me some ideas.

Hi Libby,
Welcome to the Forum. I don't think I'd be confident to drive a proper Motor-home, so I bought a Toyota High-ace Campervan. I can handle that easily. It's big enough for one [plus 2 Chihuahuas'] , but might get a bit cramped for two, although I bought it from a married couple.
I've done a couple of relatively long trips now, and seen quite a few solo women with Camper-vans, plus a couple with Motorhomes.
Check out some of the sites on the net, and you'll get an idea of what's available.
Google Campervans for Sale, and you'll get quite a lot of sites to look at.

Cheers,
xina.

Hi Libby and welcome to the forum, I was "new" once but I am decidedly "secondhand' now, doesnt matter what you choose just as long as you get out amongst it

if I was you I would start by simply 'hiring' one. (maybe a Hi-ace like ours) try it for a week and then hire a slightly larger one like a cabover hi-lux type one

either way just relax and take it steady,

Hi Libby!
Welcome!
I am also a solo traveller and am in a Winnebago Freeway motorhome. I chose it because of the ease of setup and escape (if necessary). I park, put the step down and that's me all ready to go! It is as easy to drive and handle as a car.
I have only been on the road since mid Jan but feel at home now with it all.
Any questions I will be happy to answer, as will anyone on this forum!
Cheers,
Dianne

Libby, one option to try a few different setups is the relocation scenario here:

and here:

absolutely excellent Idea Michael, forgot all about them, mate of mine got one of those from cairns, he flew up picked up the motorhome and took his time down the east coast. all paid for by the hire company, there is a time limitation though but it is generous

Hi Libby,
In case you didn't see the PM., I'm in your area, and could show you my Campervan if you like, so you can get an idea of size etc. My Phone No. is in the PM.
Cheers,
xina.

G'day Libby,

A warm welcome from me also.  If you can't find what you are looking for on this great forum then it can't be found. Ask anything thing you like and as one great man on the forum once said if we don't know the answer we'll make one up. (How you going Dave06)
