Hi Guys, We're getting closer to hitting the road full time, just waiting on the building of our van. Just wondering what you guys are using with the internet, Pre -paid or contract? This computer technology is all new to me so please try and keep it simple. Cheers, The Freddos
This is a popular issue & has been discussed many times.
To have a look at what has been said ... If you have lots of time 'cos there is a lot there ...
Click on "SEARCH" on the blue bar at the top of the forum page & type in "Wireless Broadband". This will list all of the previous threads on that & related subjects.
That may be a good starting point & lead to more specific questions to lead you to the information you need.
Good advice there. You may have to get mobile, wireless broadband to cater for you needs. There is a pre-paid version by Bigpond. I have an account deal with Bigpond, Mobile Wireless Broadband. The price has come down $30 per month since I first signed up. There are a couple of other providers who now offer mobile wireless b/band, but I don't know what their charges and conditions are, or how much space is available through them, as they lease infrastructure from Telstra or Optus. Most towns and c/pks have some form of internet cafe' where you can access you emails and other web business, and Grey Nomads and Google Maps. All I can suggest is do your own homework so you understand fully what is out there, and what suits your needs. Don't let the agencies blind you with technical science in a language you don't understand. It's your money, and your information. Look after it, and good luck with that. Cheers Chris
