Those of us that are about to embark on their first Oz 360, are no doubt a little apprehensive as to how the first leg will pan out, scuse the pun.
Well, Im a little late with this rundown, but I must let our fellow GN Forumites know about our wonderful Baptism in Sapphire, so to speak.
It all started within minutes of putting our solar panels up for sale here on the forum, when we were delighted to receive a call from Mike, who promptly purchased the panels which, we in turn, agreed to deliver to him on our way to Longreach.
On our arrival at Sapphire, Mike and his good lady Judy took us to the site where we would be parked up for the next few days, and pointed out the available amenities to us.
Next morning, Mike and Judy turned up to take us on a Guided Tour around many of the Claims sites and also treated us to a pukka bit of Bundu Bashing in a bid to follow one of Judys previous exploration treks. Wow! Mikes driving skills were matched only by the awesome performance of his much loved 4x4. We were then taken to see Mikes labour of love, Karen. When completed, she will be a real compliment to Mikes skills.
The following day was to be just as enjoyable, but on much smoother roads, when Mike and Judy took us to some of the Sapphire tourist attractions, followed by a delicious picnic lunch that Judy had prepared for us all. To bring the very enjoyable stay to a close, Mike and Judy invited us to their place for an evening meal. The chicken schnitzel that Judy cooked, was absolutely delicious and so too was the dessert.
All in all, Mike and Judy made our visit to Sapphire a truly memorable occasion.
If anyone reading this thread ever gets the chance to go to that amazing little place, do it with the companionship of the Diamonds of Sapphire Mike and Judy, who, between them, make the place truly magical.

David and Jenny, you are far too flattering, with a rap like that I might have to start taking reservations,LoL.
It was lovely to meet you both, and I don't remember there being any awkward gaps in the conversation which is a good sign of people (friends ) having a good time together.
Your help with the laptop was invaluable as was your soldering iron, no problems now with the cordless drill!!
Hope your travels are all that you expected them to be, see you next time around.
