I am busy writing an article about footwear for the "NOMADS" but I need to understand what your needs and requirements are? I require someone's experiences and "best outcomes". I also need to know where you purchase your footwear? Thanks Sally
Usually a specialist sports & walking shoe shop (eg; Athletes Foot) as I need shoes with good arch and ankle support and wide tread. I also bought a pair of thongs with arch supports for around $35 from a chemist for walking around caravan park etc.
Black or grey walkers for everyday use and jogger type walkers for caravanning in general.
I must confess I got a couple of near new Mountain Design joggers at a 2nd hand shop, worth about $200-$300 dollars new, got both pairs for $11. A spray inside with some disinfectant and a few hours out in the sun, new liners and they were ready to go.
Welcome to the site.

Well, what a project you've set yourself. Where will the article be published?
Usually when I'm driving I wear my joggers to keep my feet comfortable, and reduce swelling. If I get out to go for a walk and a look around I have the best footwear for the job. Other times I wear reef sandals. They don't have to be the most expensive, but comfortable with support and secure footing. They are appropriate for walking on land and beach, and keep your feet secure with safety. Thongs are great for everything else. I wear cheapies in the shower, and orthoheels for longer walks. When I go to a cooler climate I wear my Ecco walking shoes which are a bit more dressy than joggers. I have dress up thongs and sandals, as well as dress down things and sandals. It's all about comfort, practicality foot health. Good luck with the article. Cheers Chris

RM's of course for dressing up with longs (RM's too)
Palmone Italian leather mocassin style for dressing up with shorts.
Colorado open toe leather sandals (no sox please) for general day use.
Lynx joggers if it's too cold or wet for the sandals (white & a little black .. no flash colours)
For work boots, never taken on vanning trips, hand me down Olivers from plumber son. He kicks out the leather over the steel toe cap & I restore with a new leather cap. Lace up ankle boots worn with the obligatory sock protectors. Extremely comfortable, last forever & I look the part .. well almost.
Most used of all are B&W double plugger japanese riding boots, from Kmart of course. Always carry a spare pair & use the busted ones to make washers for the yabbie pump. Thinking of nailing up discarded thongs found around the place to make a feature wall in the BBQ area.
Colorado open toe leather sandals (no sox please) for general day use.
Well Cupie is obvoiusly not a POM. My grand dad ALWAYS wore sox with his sandals....

I have a reliable pair of Rossi boots if I go bush, and my "quiet dogs" leather wedges for more dressy occasions. Oh, oops, I mean Hush Puppies. Cheers Chris

Steel Blue boots for work......the most comfortable boots I've ever worn but I still can't wait to get them off when I get home and get the crocs or thongs on.
