Camp Sites At Or In Cania Gorge

Have any of you good people, ever camped in or near Cania Gorge?

As part of a northern odyssey, in a week or so, we intended to visit the Gorge for a few days and wondered if there was some inside knowledge I can get from those who have visited and camped there.

I understand that it is pretty expensive and some parts of it are are restricted, but are there any free camp sites or caravan parks nearby that would suit as a base for exploration etc?

Robert

The CP at the gorge is sensibly priced and has some good activities I know nothing about free camping in the area;
