Only thing I can think of is your picture may be too large. Try using whatever photoshoping software you have to redce the size ( resize) and reduce the resolution to around 72 pixels, then try uploading it again.

Hi Roamin,

I have the same PC program as you and don't have a problem, do not have photshop. My pic's are saved to pictures in My Documents and when I use the forum profile steps it works for me.

Could you explain the step you are taking so we can see if there is something you are missing in the process of uploading etc.

Thanks
Vic

I have just removed my avatar picture and went through the steps again;

1.  Click on "User Details" at the top of this page.  Under Profile menu which then comes up on the left side, click on "Avatar"

2.  Another page comes up, at the bottom you will see three choices in small letters, pick the middle one "Upload an Avatar" and click on that.

3.  Another page then comes up, at the bottom, click on the "Browse" button, this should take you to your My Docs and choose My Pictures from the left menu (where I assume you have previously saved your picture to.  Click on thumbnail of chosen pic highlighting it, then on "Open" at the bottom of your My Pic's page.

This then returns you to the forum Avatar page which now shows a link in the window next to the browse button.  Alongside the browse button is a button called "upload image".  Click on this.

Wait while image loads on the page.  This should then bring up a frame with the uploaded image inside.  Click on the image inside the frame, and the will highlight the frame border.  Then click on "Select Avatar" directly underneath the highlighted frame border.

This should then put and show your image in your displayed profile and you can now return to the forum and it should be there.

I hope this works for you,
Vic

Hi Roamin,

Glad you got it there ok. I am an ex A'Van camper owner and had 7 wonderful years with it, also joined the A'Van Club of Australia, see their website;

http://www.avanclubaust.org.au/

You need to be a member of the Club to view their forum though, it is for A'Van members only. They are a great Club and cheap to join (one of the cheapest in Oz). The advantages are being a National Club you can go to rallies in any state if you happen to be there. The have a National rally list so you can go to any.

Regards
Vic
