i would like to ask all grey nomads,to support, this project. if you could write a e-mail to my member of parliment,and, the minister of main roads. barbara stone the state member for springwood,gave me a very good hearing with my submission,and she thinks that we can get this site opened up for a rest area. she has written to the main roads minister ( see attached letters ) and has also spoken to him on the phone. at this stage we are waiting for a reply. my local councillor darren power has written a letter of support to the M.P.and the minister. he will try to bring this before the logan city council,to see if they can also send letters of support. i have approached the "driver reviver" people to also see if they can help ( the driver reviver are part of the dept of transport ) in my submission i asked the rest area be called "the grey nomads rest area" ( i thank our webmistress for agreeing to this )

will do. what format are we using? is it better to have a consistent submission by us all or just generalisations, which i don't feel will carry as much weight.

Well done! It certainly does pay to speak up. You acted on your idea and it looks like it could become a reality. Thouands of travellers may get the opportunity to take a break from the road because of your idea. I certainly will make submissions to support you initiative. Cheers Chris
